Our Story

We're building the financial
rails for Africa

AfriLink Pay connects 54 African countries with a single payments API — mobile money, bank transfers, wallets, and cash pickup in one platform. No fragmentation. No compromises.

"Africa's 1.4 billion people deserve the same quality of financial infrastructure as the rest of the world. AfriLink Pay is making it happen — one transaction at a time."

How we got here

From a single API connecting two countries to a continent-wide payments network — the AfriLink journey.

2025 · Q1

Founded in Accra, Ghana by a team of engineers and finance veterans who had spent years watching cross-border payments fail African businesses.

2025 · Q2

Shipped the API MVP connecting Ghana and Nigeria — the first version of what would become the AfriLink unified payments rail.

2025 · Q3

Expanded to 54 African countries, integrating with 300+ mobile money operators, banks, and wallet providers across the continent.

2025 · Q4

Launched the Regulator Dashboard — giving central banks and financial authorities real-time visibility into cross-border flows on the AfriLink network.

2026 · Now

Building the next generation of African financial infrastructure: Pay Identity, embedded finance APIs, and programmable compliance tools.

What we stand for

Our values aren't wall art. They are engineering and product decisions made every day.

🌍

Africa-first

Every product decision starts with the African user. We don't port Western fintech to Africa — we build for Africa from first principles.

🔍

Radical transparency

Fees shown upfront. Exchange rates in real time. No hidden charges, no surprise deductions. Our users always know exactly what a transaction will cost before they confirm.

🔐

Security without compromise

AES-256 encryption, TLS 1.3, WebAuthn biometrics, and continuous penetration testing. The trust our users place in us is non-negotiable.

Inclusion by design

Designed for feature phones and low-bandwidth networks. USSD fallbacks, offline QR codes, and agent cash pickup for users who don't have smartphones or reliable data.

The team

A small team with deep roots in African finance, engineering, and regulation.
